Can they really be this high?

Yes. This computer-generated image is to scale - it shows a photo of the Ardnamurchan Lighthouse alongside a turbine of the type which have been talked about by Wind Energy.

These turbines are 105m, or 346 feet, high. The next generation will be even higher. It is the sheer scale of these, and the huge number of them being mooted, that concern Fairwind.
